Participate in a Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Research Study

Help us understand why pain flares happen in youth with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
What is this study about?
Youth with CRPS can experience periods of increased pain (“flares”). At this point, it is unknown what leads to these flares and what signs the body exhibits of a pain flare.

Stanford University researchers are working to identify novel biomarkers of pain flares using real-time data from a wrist-worn device. Once the early signs of pain flares are understood, we will then identify ways to help prevent pain flares.
Why participate?
  • You can contribute entirely remotely and utilize a wearable wrist device, free of charge
  • You can add to the field of CRPS research and help other patients with this condition
Who can participate?
  • U.S. youth, aged 10-18, diagnosed with CRPS
  • Willing to wear a wrist-worn wearable, mailed to you, for six months
  • Able to download the Medeloop App on a household iPhone
  • Able to input pain symptoms (if present) and at times, take photos of food consumed
